INTAMiND

INTAMiND is founded by Sam Spencer, a qualified and registered UK Social Worker and NHS-trained BABCP accredited Psychotherapist, with over 15 years working in mental health.

I specialise in supporting women experiencing relational trauma, particularly where there is a sense of disconnection from the self and difficulty with feeling secure in relationships.

I offer trauma-informed, evidenced- based therapy; bringing together clinical expertise and lived experience to provide grounded, individualised support.

Who is INTAMiND for?

INTAMiND supports women who feel caught in unresolved relationship patterns.

You may have recently experienced a traumatic relationship. You may find yourself making repeated unhealthy relationship choices, struggling to re-enter or maintain relationships, or recognising childhood experiences that continue to affect your relationships today.

You don't need to identify with everything below, but if some of it feels familiar, INTAMiND may be a good fit for you.

How INTAMiND works

INTAMiND works through a three-stage framework: Regulate, Restore, Rebuild.
These stages are used flexibly throughout therapy, depending on what you need at any given time.

Initial sessions are used to build a clear understanding of your experiences, needs, and goals, which then informs how we work together. This therapeutic process takes time, and meaningful change is usually developed over several sessions rather than in a single or short-term piece of work.

You can dive deeper into the INTAMiND approach here

REGULATE

We begin by helping your nervous system find greater calm and stability.

When your system is less activated, it becomes easier to notice thoughts, emotions, and reactions without being overwhelmed by them.

This stage focuses on creating internal safety and building the capacity to pause, reflect, and respond.

RESTORE

Next, we explore how your current patterns have developed.

You begin to understand how past experiences may be shaping your relationships, emotional responses, and sense of self today.

As awareness builds, you start to reconnect with your own needs, instincts, and preferences more clearly.

REBUILD

Finally, we focus on applying this understanding in your life.

This includes developing boundaries, improving relationship choices, and strengthening your ability to act in alignment with yourself.

The emphasis is on sustainable change, confidence in your own judgment, and building a life that feels more steady and self-directed.

What INTAMiND offers

INTAMiND offers a one-to-one space where you can be seen, heard, and understood.

We explore what you have been through with care and compassion, helping you make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels manageable.

Alongside this, I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, EMDR, and compassion-focused therapy, supported by practical tools and psychoeducation.

The focus is on helping you develop clarity, confidence, and a more stable sense of direction in your life.
